Honor and Rememberance

The FIRST ever monument to Veterans Service Dogs is being built. These amazing and highly trained canines spend their lives in the service of our injured veterans. They do so selflessly, and completely. This monument will honor their short but indelible lives profoundly impacting the veterans they served.

Our Mission

Honoring Veterans and Service Dogs

Our mission is to memorialize veteran service dogs and to do so with their veteran handlers in mind. After all they are a Team!

Each serves a purpose for the other. Overcoming daily struggles, providing comfort, companionship, meeting physical and emotional needs, each to the other. Giving purpose to life, each one totally and completely devoted to the other.

This is why the monument is so important. These amazing animals are only here for a fraction of a veterans life. Yet the loss lasts a lifetime.

A place to grieve, to remember and to honor.

"Zelda has been there in the darkest of times. Even when PTSD takes a toll and I consider Suicide. She reminds me about how much love there is in our home and how much they rely on me."
~ Zelda's Veteran Joe

ᏧᏍᎦ  Tsusga "Chewy"

ᏧᏍᎦ Tsusga (Chewesga) or simply "Chewy"is a 5 yr old male white german shepherd. He is Brian's mobility service dog and the inspiration for this project. The bond between Brian and Chewy is one that is deep and unbreakable. Through this bond Brian has been able to speak to other veterans about their bonds and loss when that dreadful day comes. With this personal understanding Chewy will be the model for the sculpture for this monument.
